What was the turning point in your life that made you want to invest in your own body?
When I discovered that I needed to be healthy and to achieve my goals in Capoeira. I am not only an athlete and need to think about my own body but I also always have to think about making my life better and be happy.
What motivates you to continue a disciplined lifestyle?
Firstly because Capoeira motivates me to continue a disciplined lifestyle and also I want to achieve my goals and have a healthy life.
What is your favorite explosive lower body exercise?
The Capoeira basic movement which is called 'Ginga' and squats.
Is there a Capoeira exercise that you could recommend?
Of course,we have many...Like: Ginga, Esquivas, Passagens, Bencao, Martelo, Handstands, Cartwheels, Queixadas,Armadas,etc.
What training do you do besides Capoeira?
I like lifting weights to keep my muscle strong. I like walking for an hour or an hour and a half and sometimes do Muythai And Boxing.
What exercises would you do if you could only train one hour two times a week?
Session 1:Running, skipping, jumps to warm up, strenghtening and then start with capoeira basics and combinations, some handstands cartwheels as well as some exercise for abs and push ups.
Session 2:Start with different strengths exercises, then run, a lot of Gingas and other combinations to keep the cardio up followed by other basic kicks and combinations, upper body and lower body exercise. During the training do some handstands in different positions and cartwheels and two by two with attacks and defensive movements.
What is your favorite healthy food to pack for lunch?
Sushi or Tuna Salad.
What is your number one tool for fighting cravings?
I believe that sometimes you have to give into cravings as long as it is in moderation.
